WHO ARE WE?

KEBHIPS started in March 2015 as a small orientation center, offering consultancy services on Public Finance Management and the promotion of Local Governance. By mid-2016, the center became a focal point of assistance to local councils and decentralized structure on matters of Local Governance and Participatory Development.
On the 13 of March 2017, the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training (MINEFOP), as a professional training center, with the name KELDON BILINGUAL INSTITUTE OF PROFESSIONAL STUDIES (KBIPS), officially approved the center.

The excellent results from the center from 2015 to 2018, is proudly part of the reason why on December 3, 2018 the Ministry of Higher Education (MINESUP), raised the center to a higher institute: Kelden Bilingual Higher Institute of Professional Studies (KEBHIPS), with 34 departments for both HND and BTS. On January 22, 2020, MINESUP extended our authorization by adding 42 new departments to the existing 34, for the both HND and BTS

On the 2nd of December 2020 Kelden Bilingual Higher Institute was chosen as the Central African host center for the Chartered Institute of Education and Training Practitioners, an institute based in the United Kingdom and the Director of KEBHIPS was appointed the Cameroon Country Director for the Institute, whose  primary aim is to promote professional educational exchange with renowned universities in the United Kingdom, America, Canada etc. through scholarships, for both students and teachers.

In January 2021 KEBHIPS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with University of Bamenda, thereby becoming a University Institute under the University of Bamenda.

This memorandum gave KEBHIPS the authorization to offer Professional Bachelors and Masters under the University of Bamenda, as such becoming Kelden Bilingual University Institute. In January 2023 this Memorandum of Understanding was sealed by a Special Partnership Agreement (SPA), making Kelden Bilingual University Institute an integral part or a direct branch of the University of Bamenda.

Classified last year as the fifth best Higher Institution by the Cameroon Higher Education authorities, Kelden Bilingual University Institute surely stands out today amongst the best University Institutes in Cameroon.
